Dundee Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

Dundee businesses are now eligible for £3,000 fibre broadband grant.

Dundee’s business community is now reaping the rewards of a new initiative allowing eligible businesses to apply for a government grant of up to £3000 to contribute to the installation cost of a gigabit-capable connection.

A gigabit connection can offer speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps, meaning a faster and more capable connection for your business and your customers. It provides faster upload and download times allowing your business to run technologies such as hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony and cloud applications.

Vibrant university, IT, video game development, biomedical and biotech sectors, as well as well known private companies, put the city on the map but as the Council made clear “By improving your broadband connections it could improve your customers’ experience with quicker communication and faster file-sharing. It can also reduce hardware and software cost by online data storage or enhance the way you communicate with existing and new customers e.g. online video conferencing and cloud-based information sharing.”

If your SME business is based in the Dundee and Angus area, and you rely on the Internet to run your business, check your business’ eligibility today and get the grant while it is still available.
