What Can We Expect From The Launch Of The New iPhone 6s (and Plus)?

September 17, 2015

If you like Apple, then there is an orchard full of new products for you to look forward to in the coming months. There is the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, the iPad Pro, the new iPad mini 4, Apple TV and the new Apple Watch models with their associated straps and software.

Apple Logo

The new iPhone 6s Plus will be released on the 25th of September, and will come in space grey, silver, gold, and rose gold. It was unveiled on September 9th at an all-star event where Apple confirmed that their new device would have new hard drives of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.

They will have a new A9 chip, which is a startling 80% faster than the A8, and is 90% faster in terms of graphics performance. It has an M9 motion co-processor that learns how your iPhone is used so that it can run more efficiently. It collects data on how your iPhone is used, so that it may improve its processes and make itself faster over time.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have faster Wi-Fi with LTE Advanced, along with a second-gen Touch ID biometric sensor. This results in them being two times faster than before, which is particularly useful for your Apple Pay needs.

The Innovation That Apple Are Taking to the Next Level

Apple may have struck gold with 3D Touch. Pressure sensors are used to figure out how hard the user is pressing and then act accordingly. Current technology that features the function has been lacklustre, but Apple has really put it to use in their newest devices. In particular, it is good for multitasking because it allows the user to keep their finger on the screen as if it were a button, and then swipe through other functions on their phone. In our opinion, this is the most innovative and impressive thing about the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and a reasonable assumption would be that within two years all the top phone manufacturers will also have this technology.

For years now, Apple have said they will not put a camera in their phones higher than 8mp because it doesn’t affect the quality of the shots, which, as most tech-savvy people know, is true. However, with the iPhone 6s Plus they have added a 12mp camera along with new focusing technology, meaning that Apple’s 12mp camera will genuinely take better shots because of the associated software it uses.

If you are still hungry for Apples, then look no further than the new Apple watch models, because even though Apple watches are not as popular as they were predicted to be, they are still innovating in a way that has already benefited the iPhone 6 models. If that still doesn’t sate your appetite, the iPad Mini 4 has a few new features that may interest you, while the iPad Pro has taken a new direction you may like. And if that’s still not enough, the new Apple TV will have voice control, which should be handy for people that are too lazy to press a button on their remote!

What are your thoughts on the new iPhone? Is there anything that we’ve missed?
